Industry and academic environment are currently facing significant scientific and industrial challenges that need to be addressed urgently. If the technology evolves rapidly, this should also be the case with the associated UX evaluation methods. It is therefore imperative to carry out research work to develop enriched UX measurements offering a better temporal resolution in order to be able to grasp the full range of affective, cognitive and attentional states of the user, throughout his experience. To use these tools effectively and efficiently, it is important to increase the speed and accuracy with which these enriched UX measures can be processed and to adapt these measures and processes so that they can be used in natural use contexts and in real time.
The researsh program is structured according to three major research directions.
- The first research direction aims to develop new knowledge to enrich, strengthen and improve research tools and methods in UX. Specifically, the goal of this research focus is to develop valid, reliable and robust implicit UX metrics that can provide the appropriate diagnostic level to inform UX professionals.
- The second research direction aims to accelerate and optimize the research cycle in UX with these enriched methods. Specifically, this research goal is to develop new scientific innovations at different stages of the enriched UX research cycle to better inform UX professionals in a timely manner.
- Finally, the third research direction aims to make possible the use of enriched UX measures in authentic and real contexts. More specifically, this research objective aims to improve the ecological validity of UX measures by developing new methodological innovations. This will increase the reliability and validity of UX assessment in natural use contexts and build the ability to use measurements in self-adaptive contexts.
